fire-1873169I see a cerulean gleam glowing deep in the center of a fire. Pulsating splashes of passion spill out into the night. They flash upon the black background and spin. Their white-yellow banners whiplash in the wind.

I hear the graceful flick and flutter of fiery flags unfurled. Orange warmth erupts from this burning basin of love. Come all ye who are weak and weary. Come and rest in the welcoming warmth of light.

The Father’s fire manifests auras of praise. Thankful joy irradiates from every fire-lit face. Though the night dooms with darkness and clothes with cold, though many callous hearts scatter in denial of God, His fire remains unchanged and unquenched. He beckons all to draw near and draw life from His living presence.

All who shiver in the cold encumbered night, seek the face from whose fire you will find love, illumination, and life. Seek His face and you will find Him. Seek the Lord while there’s still time. Lift your eyes to the hills. See the burning bush upon the mountainside. Cast aside every weight and encumbrance. Go and run to seek the living God.

This is the generation of those who seek Him, whose hands and hearts are purified in the fire. Blessed are those who seek Him, for they shall find an imperishable reward. Blessed are those who gather in the night and remain until the morning comes.

The morning crowns its golden head upon the cold ashes of the night. The life of the world begins to warm with hope. The fiery face of the Father peaks across the treetops and smiles. He beams down favor as penetrating light.

Yellow joy pirouettes across the morning. Red orange love clothes the world with light. Blue zeal hides inside the center where the Father’s face beckons sons and daughters. Here he ignites their dreams with life. All the treasures of inspiration thrive within His penetrating eyes.

Abba! Father! There is fire in the fullness! There is joy in Your presence! The flame of Your Spirit transforms my inner-being. Nothing can withstand the heat of Your passion, the burning beautification of Your love!

forest-fire-465617In the wildfire of awakening this land is reborn. The entire landscape is transformed. His shockwaves shatter the atmosphere, catalyzed by repentance and hunger. Darkness disappears as if its cold and pitiless taint had never tinged and tarnished the earth.

Oxygen ignites a fire in my lungs. I cannot be still. I cannot keep it in. Laughter bursts from the bubbling cauldron of my heart. Child-like energy rushes inside me. The stillborn death of a stony heart resurrects into abundant life—bubbling up from the unseen depths, erupting from the overflowing fire of the Father’s loving face.

When once we witness our own reflection in the midst of the depthless eyes of God, we will suddenly see ourselves as He sees us; we will see ourselves as we truly are. Then all the deceptions, lies, and fear that have kept His perfect love from enveloping our souls will crumble away like the walls of Jericho.  Face to face, we will finally understand that we have always been—and always will be—the apple of His eye, the center of His heart.

I long to see you face to face. Sanctify me that I might ascend and abide in Your holy Hill. Cleanse my hands. Purify my heart. Lift my heart up to the truth of Your unfailing love. Heal the blindness of my spiritual eyes. I know that no flesh may see your face and live. Thank you for giving me bold access to Your throne room by the broken flesh of Jesus Christ. You are the resurrection and the life. Amen.

Psalm 67:1 – God be gracious to us and bless us,
And cause His face to shine upon us—Selah

Psalm 17:8 – Keep me as the apple of the eye;
Hide me in the shadow of Your wings.

Hebrews 12:28-29 – Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.
