Paths of Thought

Thought streams tend toward the tensionless, meandering down well-worn paths of  familiarity. Only a mind molded in the furnace of imagination can carve out in creation of new paths, in pursuit of discovery.

Doubt does not venture far from the predetermined. Daring dashes off into the wilderness for sheer joy of exploration, not merely to explore the unknown, but to illumine the nonexistent. Creativity pushes off the predictable path and paints the new.

Only a mind molded in the furnace of imagination can carve out in creation of new paths, in pursuit of discovery.

Without imagination the infrastructure of our thoughts narrows into a tiresome trench.  Over time these thought paths prevent our minds from escaping the chasms they create.  Our thoughts become isolated and alone, colorless and worn, and we wonder if  marching through monotony is all that is and ever will be.

Our thoughts need new currents to branch out and grow.  Far reaching root systems drink deep. They dig into the depths of inspiration and grow into life-giving homes. We cease to simply see, and begin to fathom. We feel where once we were numb. We can live within the lifetime of a moment, and comprehend the tapestry of an eon. We mark the multitude of miracles we missed when our eyes could not see beyond the miry mundanity of never ending familiarity.

We are transformed by the renewing of our mind, and with the mind of Christ, we have endless mysteries to explore.

We hear the Voice of God speaking through what we once thought minuscule and meaningless. We discover an endless world of wonder where once we saw nothing but meaningless boredom.

We are transformed by the renewing of our mind, and with the mind of Christ, we have endless mysteries to explore.

Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10;16
But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
